Mount Rushmore is a must stop if you are in the area. Impressive to see and filled with history.
Mount Roosevelt and the Friendship tower are a very short drive and short hike from Deadwood and the area is full of history and great views
After some easy hikes I finally found a challenging one in South Dakota. Turns out careful what you wish for.
