Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge
The Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge is super easy and more of a nature walk than anything. There are a couple of small lakes and virtually no elevation gain so good for all skill and age levels. My favorite part of this walk was how relaxing it was and I got to see a bunch of deer. I also saw some picnic areas, plenty of parking, and some informational plaques. This would be an absolutely great first walk if you are looking to get started!

Distance and Elevation
If you don’t have the AllTrails app you might want to check it out, I really love mine. It records your progress and is a great way to search for hikes that are nearby and gives you difficulty measurements. According to AllTrails today’s hike was around 7.47 miles and had a total elevation gain of about 151 feet including undulations. That put the high point at around 5,256 feet. I was also moving for a total of 2 hours and 33 minutes.
