I found the Cast Iron Tavern in a sort of business park after I did my Mt. Galbraith hike. The hike kicked my butt pretty good so I was starving and I walked in and they had a little area set up for take out orders.
They had a menu set up for family style meals but I just asked for a bacon cheeseburger and fries. Few minutes later they walked it out to my car for me and it was absolutely delicious. After a tough hike it was exactly what I needed.
The bacon was cooked to perfection and the fries were the thick cut kind that are amazing. Another cool thing they were doing was taking donations to support medical professionals who were on the covid wing. They are bringing a meal to them so they can have a nice break while on shift. Good for you Cast Iron Tavern! I do apologize for the photo.
I once again took it in the back of my car where I ate and it looked too good for me to take a second picture. If you are ever in Golden give these guys a shot!
