After the Caribou Trail hike it was time for some brunch and what better place to try out than Ned’s in Nederland. Ned’s is located on Jefferson Street in Nederland and it took me a couple of tries to find parking so keep that in mind. It was really busy and they had already cut off half of the seating area’s to maintain social distancing which was nice. There was seating inside and out but I decided to sit at the bar because it was the quickest.
Keeping to my tradition of trying to order what ever a local restaurant’s special is I went with the Ned’s Muffin which was dubbed as their “legendary creation”. What could be so legendary about English muffin, cream cheese, ham, avocado slices, eggs, cheddar and mozzarella you may ask? Well everything obviously.
Ned’s seemed to take the old adage, “too much of a good thing” and turn it on its head by adding all the good things to one open face sandwich. (It is missing bacon though…) This is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had.
When you cut into the egg the yoke spills down and engulfs the whole bite and the salty slice of ham is tamed by the creaminess of the avocado and cream cheese. Together all the flavors just blend into a giant glob of amazing in your mouth and you aren’t really sure why its so good but you know that you need another bite.

The sandwich did not last very long. The hardest part was making sure that you had a little bit of everything in each bite as the ingredients did tend to slip around while being cut. Apparently I ate the plate of hash browns too but I don’t really remember that, I think I was in a food blackout.
Ned’s has full breakfast and lunch/dinner menu’s with sandwiches and burgers as well if you decide, for some reason, not to try this. If you find yourself in Nederland you should give them a shot.
I have added this restaurant and all of the restaurants that I have tried on my interactive map that you can find here. If you have as suggestion for a restaurant you would like me to try, feel free to email me at fatmanlittletrails@gmail.com or you can follow me on one of the below social media platforms.
Help Me Help a Small Business
Unlike some other bloggers, I never ask for discounted or free meals on my site. I think it is important, especially now, to support our local restaurants and small business owners. It does get expensive though and I am just a small business myself so if you are willing to help me out by making a donation below I would greatly appreciate it and be able to continue to bring you the content you love!
