If you have ever looked for parking around Main St. in Breckenridge you know it can get a little frustrating. Well, while making about the 10th loop around I saw a sign that called out like a beacon from the mother ship!

How could the Fatman not eat at Fatty’s! Well I finally found parking and made my way down the street to Fatty’s. They are located on Ridge street just off of Main. It was in what looked like a remodeled old home with a cool bar in the main floor and a nice outdoor patio.
What does one order at a pizzeria and pasta establishment? Well the fish and chips that are on special for the day of course. The special came with 3 very large fish filets, fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce and a bit of a salad that had pickles and peppers in it.
The first thing I noticed was the weight of the fish. These things were thick and a ton of meat. They were fried really crisp but the fish on the inside was cooked to perfection. Not rubbery nor too soft. They were really good. The tartar sauce was really sweet which complimented the saltier fish very well.
The coleslaw was really creamy with a lot of “sauce” per bite but also had cabage and what I believe to be kale. My kale experience is pretty low though so I will just say there was some sort of green leafy thing in the slaw.
The fries were also crispy fried with a soft center and they also worked well with the sweet tartar sauce.

Overall just a delicious meal. You don’t expect to have a really nice fish and chips at an Italian restaurant but fatty’s nailed it. If you find yourself in Breckenridge, give them a shot.
I have added this restaurant and all of the restaurants on my interactive map you can find here. If you have any suggestions on places to eat or any other comments feel free to email me at fatmanlittletrails@gmail.com or you can follow me on any of the below social media platforms.
