Charrito’s House – Larkspur
After my hike at the Sandstone Ranch Open Space I was looking for a place to grab some lunch. I had never been to Larkspur before but luckily I found Charrito’s House not too far from the trailhead.
The first thing that jumped out to me when I walked into Charrito’s was the décor that hung all over the walls and ceiling. It just instantly put me in a good mood with the color’s and eclectic collections.

The Food
I was brought a bowl of chips and salsa while I looked over the menu. Finally a salsa with a little kick to it! I have had a lot of salsa’s in my journeys, and salsa can never be bad, but I like mine with a little bit of spice. Charrito’s had that kick I was looking for!

My main course was a bit of a toss up. Everything looked so good and it was hard to decide. Luckily for me Charrito’s House made the decision easy! They offered the 3 Charrito’s Fajitas Combo. This came with steak, chicken and carnitas. Along with the meat the fajitas came with a side of rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream and tortillas.

This was so much food! Delicious food at that but still a ton of food. All of the meat was delicious. The carnitas were the juiciest, the steak the most flavorful. The chicken was good as well but I ran out of descriptors. Another thing I liked was the amount of peppers and onions. Some places skimp on those. Not Charrito’s. Mounds of veggies which were great.
Finding Charrito’s
I really enjoyed my time at Charrito’s and got so much food I had enough to bring home for a second meal. They are located at 9080 Spruce Mountain Rd in Larkspur. They also have another location at Palmer Lake. If you are close to either you should give these guys a try.
I have added this restaurant and all of the restaurants I have been to on my interactive map that you can find here. If you have a suggestion for a restaurant or any comments feel free to email me at fatmanlittletrails@gmail.com or you can follow me on any of the below social media platforms. Bon Appetit!
Help Me Help a Small Business
Unlike some other bloggers, I never ask for discounted or free meals on my site. I think it is important, especially now, to support our local restaurants and small business owners. It does get expensive though and I am just a small business myself so if you are willing to help me out by making a donation below I would greatly appreciate it and be able to continue to bring you the content you love!
