Pioneer Kitchen
If you are looking for a good breakfast spot near Capitol Reef, look no further than the Pioneer Kitchen. The Pioneer Kitchen is connected to the Capitol Reef resort just outside of the park.

The Pioneer Kitchen has a nice and slick wood cabin feel to it. The tables and floor are all all wood and it has a modern feel of country kitchen. I really liked the clean vibe. I got there about a half hour before they shut down the breakfast service. They do a breakfast starting at 7 am and then shut down for lunch before opening again for dinners.

The Food
The Kitchen used to do a breakfast buffet but they had to stop it down for Covid and now they offer an assortment of breakfast options. I went with the omelet that came with fresh spinach and mushrooms with cheese. There were big chunks of the spinach and mushrooms. Some places are all egg but not here. This was really good!
The meal also came with bacon, potato’s, fresh fruit and toast. The bacon was cooked really well, not too hard and not too chewy. The potato’s were fried soft with a bit of a hard crust to them which were good. It was also nice to get some fresh fruit. It was very refreshing in the heat and got me ready for my day of hiking!
If you are looking for some breakfast around Capitol Reef, give the Pioneer Kitchen a shot!

Help Me Help a Small Business
Unlike some other bloggers, I never ask for discounted or free meals on my site. I think it is important, especially now, to support our local restaurants and small business owners. It does get expensive though and I am just a small business myself so if you are willing to help me out by making a donation below I would greatly appreciate it and be able to continue to bring you the content you love!
