Outdoor Retailer: Making Life Easier

Outdoor Retailer

One of the country’s biggest outdoor retail shows has just wrapped up in Denver, the Outdoor Retailer Show. This is a show that connects brands with the newest of style, technology, and products with retail stores hoping to fill their shelves with the hottest items. Your favorite blogger (The Fatman) was able to score a media credential so I will be talking to some of these brands and passing on the information to you over the next few days. Also, a special thank you to all the brands that took the time to talk with me and give me permission to take pictures of their products at the show. Today is a look at companies that hope to make life a touch easier for all the adventurers out there.

Making Life Easier

While some products are there for style, and some are there for function, every once in awhile a product comes along that just makes things so much easier. A lot of time they take a problem we didn’t even know we had and fix it. Think an air fryer but for the outdoor world! Today I am taking a look at some of those products that I found at the Outdoor Retailer show.

Pure Mountain Fun – Ski Pack

One of the more challenging parts about skiing with kids is the kids trying to carry the ski’s around all day. More often than not the parent becomes the ski and kid wrangler! Well a kid sized problem needs a kids sized solution. The Ski Pack is designed to hold your skis and poles together and is small enough to fit in a coat pocket when not in use.

The Ski Packs come in bright and fun colors and allow the kids to have the bags strapped to their back, making it easier to enjoy the day of skiing! And the Ski Pack isn’t just for kids, it works with adults as well! Check out more about the Ski Pack here.

Chuck Bucket

Well now that we have the kids ski’s taken care of, what about getting the ski’s and snowboards around. The Chuck Bucket makes loading all your winter toys nice and easy without having to climb up on the roof.

The Chuck Bucket attaches to a trailer hitch and can hold up to eight pair of skis or 4 snowboards. Just throw the ski’s and boards in the Chuck Bucket and your trip to and from the slopes is taken care of.

Mainers

Mainers is a company that has been around for a while but I had never heard of. I sure am glad I have heard about them now. My hands are always the coldest part when I go hiking in the winter. Luckily, Mainers is used to taking care of cold hands, like out of this world cold.

Mainers have actually been making gloves for NASA, the US military and NATO for decades. If they can keep astronaut hands warm in outer space I think they know a thing or two about keeping hands warm here on earth. The mittens that Mainers make are for extreme cold conditions and are perfect for those freezing winter days in the mountains.

BN3th – Underwear

Being a “Hefty Hiker” leads to some surprising challenges. One of those being the…uhm…unmentionables. Just getting a pair of underwear that fit can be challenge but getting that underwear to stay in place on a twelve mile hike can be a monumental task! BN3TH looks to make sure we don’t worry about what’s beneath our clothes.

BN3TH has a patented pouch built in their underwear to make sure everything stays where it should. They also use moisture wicking and “NO Stink” technology to make sure that you are comfortable for the entire time while enjoying nature. They also were showcasing some specialized bike pants at the show for all you mountain and trail riders out there. Finally, BN3TH is working towards being carbon neutral and you can read about their sustainability efforts here.

Trail Tribe Suncare

There is nothing worse than coming back from a day in the outdoors with a sunburn. There are so many options of sunscreen it is hard to figure out which is best. Trail Tribe Suncare tries to make the choice easy. Their sunscreen is Non-GMO, Gluten, Paraben, and cruelty free and is even Vegan.

The Trail Tribe moisturizing suncare is a 50 broad spectrum SPF that protects against UVA/UVB, Blue Light and pollution. It is also 100% mineral and even has vitamin C in it. For more information about the Trail Tribe products, you can click here.
