Dutch Mill Cafe
For those long time readers of the blog, you know that I am a sucker for a good sign when looking for a great locally owned restaurant. Well, in the lovely downtown of Antonito I was drawn like a moth to a flame by the sign for the Dutch Mill Cafe.

The old style of sign towered on the top of the main strip and I knew exactly where I would make my stop for lunch! The Dutch Mill Cafe is popular for their breakfast burritos and other Mexican specialties but they had already sold me with that big sign!
The Food
Now to the important part…the Food! I got to the Dutch Mill Cafe a little late for breakfast so I settled in for lunch instead. One look at the menu and I knew I had to order the Famous Chili Burger. It did have famous in the name right!. The Famous Chili Burger is an open faced burger on a bun smothered with green chili. It also comes with fries or mashed potato’s. I went with the fries and they throw those on top of the burger too as part of the smothering.

The Famous Chili Burger was really good. The burger was thick, maybe a half pound, and really flavorful. Like it came off the grill in my own backyard. The green chili wasn’t too spicy but had a nice rich flavor to it. It tasted very fresh. The chili soaked into the bun making for a perfect bite of slightly soggy bread. I definitely had to eat this one with a knife and fork and every bite was as good as the first!
I really enjoyed this burger and my stop at the Dutch Mill Cafe. It was also really crowded for a mid week lunch so you know it is a popular spot for locals and passers by like myself. If you find your self in Antonito, Give the Dutch Mill Café a shot!
Finding the Dutch Mill Cafe
The Dutch Mill Cafe is located at 401 Main Street in downtown Antonito. I didn’t notice a parking lot but there was plenty of street parking available on Main Street for an easy walk to the restaurant.
I have added this restaurant and all of the restaurants I have been to on my interactive map that you can find here. If you have a suggestion for a restaurant or any comments feel free to email me at fatmanlittletrails@gmail.com or you can follow me on any of the below social media platforms. Bon Appetit!
Help Me Help a Small Business
Unlike some other bloggers, I never ask for discounted or free meals on my site. I think it is important, especially now, to support our local restaurants and small business owners. It does get expensive though and I am just a small business myself so if you are willing to help me out by making a donation below I would greatly appreciate it and be able to continue to bring you the content you love!
