Destination Grill – Cortez

Destination Grill

Most of the time when I am looking for the best food in a new town in takes me a while to drive around and find the perfect spot. Sometimes, I only have to walk across a parking lot! That’s what happened with the Destination Grill in Cortez. I drove by and saw some guys working some outdoor grills and got really excited to give it a shot and the walk across the parking lot from my hotel was the perfect distance after a long day.

The Food

Now to the important part…The Food! I was smelling the food as I walked up and it had my mouth watering by the time I walked through the front door. There is a nice bar area with some tables and I grabbed one of those and decided to start with the salad.

The salad came out cool and crisp with nice fresh pieces of sliced onions and tomatoes. It was light and refreshing and was a good size for a side salad.

Next up was what I was really waiting for. For the main course I went with the ribeye with a side of mashed potatoes. The ribeye was delicious! It was grilled to perfection with the fat rendering into the meat making it very flavorful. It was seasoned really well and mixed perfectly with the garlic butter that came on the top. The mashed potatoes were also really good and a perfect pairing with the steak.

Help Me Help a Small Business

Unlike some other bloggers, I never ask for discounted or free meals on my site. I think it is important, especially now, to support our local restaurants and small business owners. It does get expensive though and I am just a small business myself so if you are willing to help me out by making a donation below I would greatly appreciate it and be able to continue to bring you the content you love!
