Bunny and Clyde’s
Bunny and Clyde’s is located on the corner of 1st Street in Salida and was a really enjoyable spot to stop for brunch after a night of camping and hiking. The building looks like it may be a repurposed mechanics shop with big garage doors in the front. These are painted blue though, the first sign of the creativity that starts outside and makes its way straight to the menu. The staff were extremely personable and the whole place just gave off really fun vibes! Plus, the mountain view from the patio where I ate wasn’t too shabby either.

Side note: While I don’t drink coffee, Bunny and Clyde’s claims that they have the best coffee around!
The Food!
Now to the important part…The Food! They had some great options but I decided to go with the Bandit Bowl. The Bandit Bowl is veggie green chili on top of smashed fried potatoes, their special mix of roasted veggies and egg souffle. There was an option to add bacon which I obviously did!

This bowl was really good. The eggs were nice and fluffy and the added bacon was in softer bits which helped flavor every bite. There was also a really nice spice to the green chili. Enough to feel it but not overwhelm the flavor. The potatoes helped soak up the chili and it was an overall really good bowl.
Now here is something you don’t really hear from the Fatman, the veggies were amazing! I didn’t even see what all was in the assortment because it was so good I devoured the mix! The flavors of the roast stood out as my favorite part of a really delicious bowl! I really loved this bowl. If you find yourself in the Salida area, make sure to give Bunny and Clyde’s a shot!
Finding Bunny and Clyde’s
Bunny and Clyde’s is located at 203 W. 1st Street in Salida. It was like the first corner I came up to while walking into the town area. I didn’t see any parking directly at the restaurant but there was plenty of street and public parking around.
I have added this restaurant and all of the restaurants I have been to on my interactive map that you can find here. If you have a suggestion for a restaurant or any comments feel free to email me at fatmanlittletrails@gmail.com or you can follow me on any of the below social media platforms. Bon Appetit!
Help Me Help a Small Business
Unlike some other bloggers, I never ask for discounted or free meals on my site. I think it is important, especially now, to support our local restaurants and small business owners. It does get expensive though and I am just a small business myself so if you are willing to help me out by making a donation below I would greatly appreciate it and be able to continue to bring you the content you love!
