Over Easy

Over Easy

After hiking the Freedom Trail it was time to get recharged with a nice breakfast. I didn’t really know my way around the Phoenix area but stumbled upon a little breakfast place called Over Easy. Turns out it is a bit of an Arizona chain but I had never been there before.

The first thing I noticed, and that was hard to miss, was how bright the diner was. The yellow furniture and paint really brought on a warm peppy feel for a breakfast spot. The décor felt like a modern twist on a 50’s diner with barstools and leather and vinyl seats. It had a very cool vibe to it.

The inside of Over Easy in Phoenix has a bright yellow and modern design. Yellow medal and vinyl chairs as well as yellow counters and bar stools make it feel like a bright sunny day.

The Food

One of my favorite ways to test any good breakfast diner is with the Corned Beef hash and that is what I ordered. Over Easy’s CBH came with 2 eggs any style, diced vienna corned beef with potato and onion and a choice of toast. I of course got the eggs over-easy and also added a side of bacon for research purposes only. Sorry Doc!

The corned beef was good here but it was cut or ground really small. Add in the onions and potato’s and it turned into more of a mash. I prefer a bit bigger chunks of the onion and beef but it still tasted really good. The bacon was cooked to perfection and delicious.

They were also really busy and the food took a little while to get out to me but on a weekend morning with a lot of big groups nobody seemed to be upset by this. The food tasted really good and I really liked the vibe of the diner so I would give it another try for sure. If you find yourself around the Phoenix area, check in on Over Easy.

Finding Over Easy

There look to be nine Over Easy locations in Arizona but the one I went to was at 2398 E. Camelback Rd. It was a very quick drive from the Phoenix Mountains Preserve. It was very busy on the weekend and by the time I left there was a line down the block so make sure you keep that in mind when scheduling your trip.

I have added this restaurant and all of the restaurants I have been to on my interactive map that you can find here. If you have a suggestion for a restaurant or any comments feel free to email me at fatmanlittletrails@gmail.com or you can follow me on any of the below social media platforms. Bon Appetit!

Help Me Help a Small Business

Unlike some other bloggers, I never ask for discounted or free meals on my site. I think it is important, especially now, to support our local restaurants and small business owners. It does get expensive though and I am just a small business myself so if you are willing to help me out by making a donation below I would greatly appreciate it and be able to continue to bring you the content you love!
