Eddyline Restaurant
After hiking to Ptarmigan Lake above Buena Vista I came back to town looking for some food. I had already been to the historic downtown section and tried the House Rock Kitchen so I tried something new this time. Down the road a bit further I found a nice walkable area with a park and stopped by the Eddyline Restaurant.
Eddyline already had a brewery in Buena Vista and their beers are featured at the restaurant as well. I liked the spot as is it had both indoor and outdoor seating. The interior was slick and had local art hanging all over the walls.
One thing that was a bit different was that you order your food as you walk in and then sit at a table and are served like a sit down restaurant. Then you pay at the end so you are still able to order more if so desired.
The Food
Now the important part…the Food! Buena Vista is pretty far away and the hike got me pretty hungry so I decided to go with an appetizer and a main course. For the appetizer I went with the smoked wings.
What I liked most about these wings is that were either un-breaded or so lightly breaded that I couldn’t really tell. I don’t like it when you can’t taste the chicken because of so much bread! They were also doused in sauce and were super messy to eat…which I enjoyed. The sauce was flavorful and had a good spice but I wouldn’t consider them hot. You could also still taste a hint of smokiness to the wings through the sauce. I really enjoyed them.

Next up was the “BoneShaker Burger”. This burger was highly recommended by the person taking orders so I had to try it. The BoneShaker is a beef patty with bacon, cream cheese and jalapeno’s.
Now this brought the heat. The fresh jalapenos had a really great spice to them that hit me with every bite. This was nullified a bit with the cream cheese and made for a great mix. The patty was big and flavorful. The bacon was cooked well and not super crispy.
The big chunks of pub fries were also delicious and rounded out the meal quite well. If you find yourself in Buena Vista I would definitely recommend giving Eddyline Restaurant a shot.

Finding Eddyline Restaurant
The Eddyline Brewery is located at 926 South Main Street on the corner near the park in a cool pedestrian shop area of Buena Vista. I ended up parking on the street but there was some parking around.
I have added this restaurant and all of the restaurants I have been to on my interactive map that you can find here. If you have a suggestion for a restaurant or any comments feel free to email me at fatmanlittletrails@gmail.com or you can follow me on any of the below social media platforms. Bon Appetit!
