Bulldog Pub and Grub
After Hiking to the Pawnee Buttes in Weld County, I found it a bit of a struggle to find a locally owned restaurant nearby. In fact there isn’t too much nearby so I made my way about an hour down the road towards Greeley where I found the Bulldog Pub and Grub. (One other issue I ran into was a lot of places are closed on Mondays in Greeley!) The Bulldog had some iconic décor and the food to match!
The Decor
I didn’t have to look much further than the a few feet from the front door to notice the décor. The case at the front was stuffed to the gills in Star Wars memorabilia

The bar was covered in Star Wars, sci-fi, and comic book props and posters. They were countered by plenty of televisions that had sports on it making a combined Sports/Comic Bar? The Bulldog is also located right across the street from University High School which gave an interesting mix of students at the tables and adults bellied up to the bar. But now to the important part…
The Food!
The Food is always the most important part! Sandwiches and pizza are on the menu at the Bulldog. The thin/hand tossed pizza sounded good but I wasn’t sure if I had the time so I went with the Bulldog Club Sandwich.

The sandwich came on sourdough which was grilled and came with ham, turkey, crisp bacon, and swiss. There was also lettuce, tomato, and a surprise ingredient that I really enjoyed, cucumbers! I had never had cucumbers on a club sandwich before the coolness mixed with the saltiness of the bacon and meats was a really nice flavor.
I went with the potato salad on the side and it was good. Nice and chunky. Definitely more of a mustard flavor to it but I really enjoyed it. The sandwich was nice and refreshing after a long day of hiking and driving. If you find yourself in Greeley give the Bulldog Pub and Grub a shot!
Finding the Bulldog Pub and Grub
The Bulldog Pub and Grub is located at 1815 65th Ave in Greeley. Right across from the high school in a small strip center.
I have added this restaurant and all of the restaurants I have been to on my interactive map that you can find here. Help Me Help a Small Business
Unlike some other bloggers, I never ask for discounted or free meals on my site. I think it is important, especially now, to support our local restaurants and small business owners. It does get expensive though and I am just a small business myself so if you are willing to help me out by making a donation below I would greatly appreciate it and be able to continue to bring you the content you love!

Pingback: Pawnee Buttes Trail - Fat Man Little Trail
Dear FM, I lived in Greeley for 5 years and never heard of any of these places. Then again, that was 45 years ago, and I was in graduate school so didn’t get too far from the library. Nice to know of a few other diversions in Weld County.
I ran into a guide at the centennial village who was teaching in Greeley around that time! It was a fun trip to an area I havemt spent much time in and I learned a bunch myself!
